The TFC-package is supplied "as is". The author doesn't guarantee that the
program will satisfy your needs and he can't be held responsable for any
direct or indirect damages that may occur by using TFC. I only guarantee that
TFC will eat up some diskspace.
TFC has been tested with a 486DX-33, with and without DesqView 2.42. It runs
under DesqView, but it is recommended that you load Share. And *please*
temporarily deactivate your RA while running it, or your USERS.BBS may/will be
corrupt.
The TFC-package, all the programs, the documentation and the support files are
copyrighted 1993 by Manuel Wenger. All rights are reserved. You're encouraged
to give away the packet to friends and to upload it to other BBSes. But it's
forbidden to modify it and to give it away without all its support files and/
or the copyright notices.
In NO WAY the program may be modified. It's also forbidden to disassemble,
reverse-engineer (or similar) the software in the TFC-package.
Ok, that's it with the legal stuff. Let's look at more interesting things:
╒══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╕
│ ░░░░ What's TFC? ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ │
╘══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛
TFC is a program that I wrote as soon as RA 2.00.g1 released, because I needed
a global user-flag changer for my new BBS software.
TFC runs in a multitasking environment but doesn't give away time-slices
because there's really no need (it takes only a few seconds to run).
╒══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╕
│ ░░░░ What do you need to use it? ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ │
╘══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛
To user TFC you need the following things:
1) An MS-DOS (or similar) compatible PC (XT/AT/286/386/486/Pentium/etc)
2) A BBS running under RemoteAccess 2.00
TFC doesn't run with RA Versions earlier to 2.00.
╒══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╕
│ ░░░░ Installation ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ │
╘══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛
Well...you don't need to install anything. Just copy TFC.EXE to your RA
messagebase directory (where your FILES.BBS resides).
╒══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╕
│ ░░░░ How does it work? ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ │
╘══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛
Easy!
Start it with TFC to have a help screen (like all other RA utils).
■ Command-line syntax:
TFC [flag] [level] [ON|OFF]
Examples: TFC D5 10 ON
Switches the flag D5 on to all level 10 users
TFC A1 0 OFF
Switches the flag A1 off to all users
Specify which flag to toggle in the [flag] field.
Specify which level the users you want to toggle the flag must have in the
[level] field (in the future you'll also be able to toggle flags to users
based upon other criteria if I have enough requests, but at the moment I
needed only this).
Specify if you want to toggle the flag ON or OFF in the [ON|OFF] field.
As you can see, you must specify level 0 to change the flags to *all* users.
If there is an error (eg. if you run TFC using RA 1.11), your userfile will
remain inaltered. Your old userfile (if the execution if successful) will
always be saved in USERS.OLD. If for some reason there should be a Runtime
Error, you should be able to find your userfile in USERSTMP.$$$ if it isn't
in USERS.OLD or USERS.BBS. Please tell me this immediately if it happens.
As usual, I reccommend you to backup your Userbase before using TFC.

│ ░░░░ Registration ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ │
╘══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛
Nope, there's no need for registration. TFC is freeware! I wrote this for
all the other sysops like me that are missing some utils because of the switch
to RA 2.00.
Anyway, if you like the program, you can send me a postcard of your city :-)
